Esther Grünes Paintings are not part of a series, but take place in a complex fantasy world called "The World beyond good and evil" with a rich background story. In the "World" moral concepts are suspended, accidents determine existence and it is populated by fools, tricksters and creatures.
 
To reach the broken fountain of youth, one hast to walk the treacherous path through the enchanted forest. But no one talks about the trauma of seeing Unicorns being eaten alive by vines.
